1976 - 31 Aug 2014: Employed
as tenured Professor at the TEI of Thessaly
(which consisted of 5 Faculties, 19 Depts and over 22,000 students), lecturing:
1) Mechanics
2) Strength of Materials
(a) Theory, (b) Laboratory.
3) pi-SUITE (Software for
Applications on Concrete Structures)
1984 - 1985: Lecturing on laboratory experiments on prefabricated beams of
reinforced concrete for 2nd year students of the Civil Engineering
Department at UMIST. Marking of the corresponding projects.
Oct. 1991: Lecturing
in seminars "the Strength of
Materials", organized by the local Technical Chamber at
Larissa, for training of graduate Engineers of the local area.
Oct. 1992: Lecturing
in seminars for Civil Engineers of Trikala, Greece, organized again by the local Technical Chamber, on the
design of a truss-steel-roof.
1994 - 1995: Lecturing the 2nd year students in the Dept. of Civil and
Environmental Engineering at UCL,
on the experimental application
of theory, concerning the Plastic Collapse of Steel portal frames.
Evaluation of the corresponding reports.
1996 - 1999: Lecturing architectural design to students specialized in decoration, at the
Institute of Vocational Training (IVT) of Larissa.
May 1997: In seminars, lecturing the use of INTERNET to academics,
staff of the Open University of Poland.
Dec. 1997: Lecturing the
use of Internet
to different groups of teachers
of secondary education.
Feb. 1998: Lecturing the
use of ACCESS 97
to teachers
of Secondary and
Technological Education.
Sept. 1998: In seminars, lecturing the use of INTERNET to academics,
staff of the University of Czech Republic.
Nov. 1998 - April 1999: Coordination of the "Information
for Engineers" seminar, addressed to Engineers of the greater
Larissa area. It was 280 hours, including Windows 95, Office 97, Corel Draw 7,
AutoCAD 14, Fespa for Windows, Project Management and
Internet. Lecturing AutoCAD 14 and Internet.
June - Sept. 1999: Repetition of the former seminar with emphasis on the AutoCAD (2D - 3D).
June 1999: Lecturing in the
seminar "Modern
Construction Technology - State - Infrastructures Works" in Larissa
and Trikala
on various subjects concerning
the Strength of Materials, emphasising the Quality of Antiseismic Constructions.
Oct. 1999 - June 2000: Lecturing AutoCAD 14 to students specialized in Geographic Information
Systems (GIS), at the Institute of Vocational Training (IVT) in Larissa.
Oct. 2000 - Jan. 2001: Lecturing AutoCAD 2000 to students specialized in Drawing through CAD
Systems as well as Depiction
of Spatial Data through a PC to students specialized in topographic applications,
at the Institute of Vocational Training (IVT) of Larissa.
Oct. - Dec. 2000: Lecturing 4
groups of NATO Officers in
English: Windows
NT 4.0 and MS Internet Explorer as well as MS Excel
and PowerPoint 2000 (advanced level).
Jan. - Feb. 2001: Lecturing a
group of NATO Officers in
English: MS ACCESS 2000.
March - May 2011: Autonomous English - lecturing on the module Design of Earthquake Resistant Structures of the part-time Postgraduate
Program Studies Structural
Design and Construction Management, realized by the Civil
Engineering Dept. of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences in
cooperation with the Kingston
University of London (UK).
Oct. 2011 - Sept. 2012: Repetition of
previous activity.
Feb. 2016 - July 2016: Autonomous lecturing on the
module Design of Concrete
Structures through a PC Program on the Postgraduate Program Studies Architectural and Structural Restoration of Historical
Buildings and Sites, ADoAP, realized
by the Trikala Civil Engineering Dept. of the University of Applied Sciences of
Thessaly, in Greece.
July 2016 - July 2017: Completion of the previously
mentioned lecturing, by finalizing the invigilation and
successful presentation for 5 out of 6 theses of Departmental students.
July 2018: Completion of
the invigilation and successful presentation of the 6th and last
thesis.
