Dr Anthony Karageorgos

I am currently a lecturer at the Technological Educational Institute, Larissa, Greece. I hold a PhD in Agent-Based Systems Engineering from the Department of Computation, UMIST, UK, which was sponsored by BT Labs (now BT Exact Technologies), UK.

My current research interests are in Adaptive (Agent-Based) Software Engineering, Agent-based E-business Management and Simulation Modelling. My research work has so far resulted in one patent and various research papers and academic awards.

Prior joining Technological Educational Institute of Larissa in September 2006, I was with the Dept. of Communications and Computer Engineering, University of Thessaly, Volos, Greece since January 2004. Previously I had been with the Dept. of Computation, UMIST, UK since September 1999, following my participation in various EU funded research projects and lecturing in Information Technology. At UMIST among other things I worked in the MaBE project. MaBE aimed at developing agent-based infrastructures to automate business operations in distributed and virtual enterprises. Furthermore, I participated in a number of Agentcities deployment-grant projects and I established the UMIST Agentcities node.

Although as of lately I am quite busy with research and other activities, I am always looking for new colleagues who want to get involved in joint research work and project proposals. If you need any further information please contact me directly as this page is still evolving.
